Push to publish your coloring book.
So this morning, I was working on making the coloring book page for this site to reflect the second book I have been working on. I added the cover page, and I am working on the book synopsis. Trying to get to the same step in the publishing process. I forgot it’s buried further back. Now I have to wait 72 hours to make changes.
Patience is a virtue
Sometimes you can be in too big a hurry, and that is where the errors are encountered. Here are my rules of See and error: Don’t panic!
Start a checklist!
To keep yourself restrained and at peace with foibles.
- Fix the issue with the error that you don’t like: So you missed an extra enter between statements. List out the other little things that still bug you about the current revision.
- Have a second set of eyes give it a once over: We are blind to what we can’t see in the moment. Ask a friend or loved one to look over it and give feedback.
- Make your final revision: With your errors listed, along with your friends’ list. Should be some errors you both notice. Take your ideas if they are better in your mind. And implement their suggestions that you love. Along with everything, they found that you missed. Unless you did it on purpose.
- Anticipate delays: I will most likely have 2 delays for this book. Amazon has a pause on any publishing change weather that is physically in the book or your description page for the book information. So make sure you have all your ducks in a row to mitigate the delay(s)
- Try new things: As I am writing the thoughts out for this blog post. I decided to try a text-only template. Via wonder Blocks. This template will be used for future lists, steps used to complete a task or goal. Like making my books or a how-to get to the publish button. Step-by-step on how I make it work.
Now I’ve got to figure out what I want for my main background and format to be Black an white is so me. But it does not build confidence or show polish. Good thing I know a guy who has a blog in this area 😉
Thanks
